The Merlion is a legendary creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. It’s used as a mascot and is the national personification of Singapore. Its name combines “mer” meaning “the sea” and “lion”. The fish body represents Singapore’s origin as a fishing village, since it was originally called Temasek, which means “sea town” in Japanese.

Universal Studios Singapore is a theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore.
The Universal Studies Singapore has attracted more than two million visitors in the nine months since it opened. Universal Studios Singapore is 20 hectares (49 acres) in size, occupying the easternmost part of the 49-hectare (120-acre) Resorts World Sentosa. There are a total of 24 attractions, 18 of which were specially adapted for the park.
